Red Velvet's Irene was the ultimate big sister to junior idols ITZY during the awarding ceremony for the Seoul Music Awards on January 30.

According to a report by All Kpop, a fan cam revealed Red Velvet Irene's caring for her hoobaes when the younger idols wanted to put their blankets on the floor when they were asked to go on stage for a photo.

However, upon seeing the ITZY members, Irene immediately gestured for them to place their blankets on top of Red Velvet's blankets so that they won't get dirty.

Netizens praised Irene for her thoughtful act and for being humble. They said that it is heartwarming to see senior idols treat their juniors as equals.

Just three days ago, Red Velvet's comeback track Psycho from The ReVe Finale album earned its ninth show win for Psycho and their third triple crown on Music Bank. Irene, Joy, Seulgi, Yeri and Wendy similarly achieved triple crowns for Psycho on Music Core and Inkigayo.

In Music Bank's belated results for the week of the Lunar New Year, KBC announced that Red Velvet beat Zico's Any Song and IU's Blueming with a total score of 4,594.

Red Velvet is currently promoting their comeback short of one member. Wendy, who was severely injured after she fell 2.5 meters off the stage during the rehearsals for SBS Gayo Daejeon, is currently on indefinite hiatus as she recovers from her accident.

According to recent reports, it will take a long time for Wendy to completely heal from her injuries given its severity. Wendy sustained injuries to her cheekbone, wrist, and pelvis on the right side of her body. While most patients are sent home for minor pelvic fractures, Wendy is still confined at the hospital because of the magnitude of her injuries, one month after her accident.

As a result, SM Entertainment announced that Wendy will be sitting our Red Velvet's Arena Tour in Japan for their La Rouge tour.

"Wendy will be unable to participate in this upcoming tour due to the injuries she sustained after falling from a stage during rehearsals for a performance in Korea last year. We are extremely sorry to everyone who was anticipating Wendy's participation. We will assist anyone who wishes to get a refund on their tickets. We will notify you of Wendy's return to activities in Japan once they are decided," the agency announced.
