The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the favorites this season, but maybe one player short of being successful. Regardless, first-year player Paul George remains happy with the cast he has to work with right now. Though there are grumblings of players who could be traded, he believes that the team does not need major changes.

In a tweet shared by NBA news writer Ben Golliver, George shared that he thinks that the Clippers locker room is in a good place. He hopes this roster will stay intact down the stretch where the main obstacle is the Los Angeles Lakers over at the Western Conference.

“Fortunately for us, I haven’t heard of anybody on the hot seat. I think this locker room is in a good place. We hope this is the roster down the stretch that we keep,” George said.

Together with Kawhi Leonard, there is no denying that the Clippers have good chances of making it to the NBA Finals. Both players are no strangers when it comes to taking over and attempting crucial shots. But it remains that they could do better if they get some help.

Considering that the Clippers have high aspirations this NBA season, adding some wing players could boost their chances. Sean Deveney of Heavy.com previously suggested that one player the Clips have their eyes on is Robert Covington of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Unfortunately, a most recent report reveals that Covington is now headed to the Houston Rockets.

Not only is the 29-year-old someone who can contribute on offense, but he can also be a reliable defender as well. This season, Covington has played in 48 games averaging 12.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per Basketball-Reference.com. The 6-foot-7 cager is in the second year of his $46 million four-year deal he signed last year. He will become an unrestricted free agent by 2022.

Of course, there are other players they could aim for. The list includes Andre Iguodala. Curiously, the Clippers can acquire the three-time NBA champion swingman if the Memphis Grizzlies buy him out. Several teams have the 2015 NBA Finals MVP on their radar, and some clarity could happen after the Feb. 6 NBA trade deadline.

Without question, Iguodala would be a valuable addition. However, the 36-year-old is reportedly prepared to sit out the 2019-20 NBA season if the Grizzlies don’t buy him out. If so, teams in pursuit of the 2015 NBA Finals MVP may have to look at other options. Key player movements are expected to happen in the coming days with playoff-bound teams looking to beef up their rosters.
