This Is Us season 4 is going to New York City to film some of its scenes. Now, some have been speculating the series goes to this location to feature Kevin and Sophie's storyline. However, there's also a chance the show is heading to other directions and will focus on other characters' stories.
Recently, TVLine reported NBC will go to New York City to film some scenes of This Is Us season 4. Right now, however, there are no spoilers hinting what would be the story here. But, since Sophie is residing in Brooklyn, there's a huge chance she and Kevin's storyline will be involved.
However, it's also possible the series goes to this location to film some scenes of other characters. In fact, this isn't the first time the series traveled to another location for work. For instance, they already went to Vietnam to film some scenes there.
As for Kevin and Sophie, what's clear right now is that Kevin is engaged during his 40th birthday celebration and his fiancé is pregnant. Rumors suggest Sophie is the woman he's going to marry. However, it was, recently, revealed she's already engaged to someone else.
There are still a lot of questions when it comes to the future of these two. They have been through a lot since they were young and they do care for each other. Even though some things changed them, there are signs the two will end up together.
It is clear that Sophie is happy with her new life now. But, when she and Kevin spent some time together at home, it shows that she still cares for him. However, she's still committed to someone else. Things get more complicated when Kevin returned to Los Angeles and slept with Madison.
Meanwhile, the executive producers talked about the reunion of Kevin and Sophie in This Is Us season 4. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, EP Isaac Aptaker noted their situation is really complicated, especially for Sophie so she needs to make a wise decision.
For Kevin, EP Elizabeth Berger said the Pittsburgh was a beautiful detour for him. He spent some time with Sophie after her mother died. Kevin was able to repay his x-wife since she was also there beside him when his father died. Berger added that the trip would make him realize the life he didn't choose.
This Is Us season 4 airs on Tuesdays on NBC.
