Bradley Cooper and longtime partner Irina Shayk split in June 2019. Now, they are reportedly friends again and have buried the hatchet after months of fighting. But, there seems to be a hole in this tabloid story.
In Touch published a story claiming Cooper and Shayk had been fighting since they broke up in June 2019. This, allegedly, made it difficult for the former couple to co-parent their 3-year-old daughter.
"Irina couldn't get over the fact that Bradley dumped her. She was hoping for an engagement, a wedding, more children," a source of the outlet claimed.
The insider added the Hercules actress wouldn't want to see Bradley and would have her staff give their daughter to the actor when it was his turn to have her. The source claimed it took months for Shayk to realize that it is better for her to deal with Bradley personally and be friends with him so they co-parent their child.
Then, the tabloid claimed the two have, recently, decided to bury the hatchet and set their differences aside. The claim was made after the American Sniper actor and Irina were, recently, seen being friendly to each other.
It happened when Bradley and the Russian model bumped into each other at the 2020 BAFTAs. They even posed for a photo at the afterparty that Irina co-hosted. It was the first time the two were spotted reuniting publicly since their split seven months ago.
Gossip Cop noted that Bradley and Irina did not kiss and make up at BAFTA since they weren't fighting following their split. Both remained as friends after they broke up; hence, there is no hatchet that needs to be buried.
People magazine also reported shortly after the couple's split that the A Star Is Born actor and Irina were on the "same page" when it came to co-parenting their daughter. The outlet also noted that the two even spend time together as a family as they want their daughter to live a normal life. This means there was no fighting involved when they broke up.
In addition, Shayk admitted, in an interview with British Vogue last month, that she never resented Cooper. In fact, Irina was grateful for the time she had with the Silver Linings Playbook actor.
The two have kept their relationship private, so as the reason for their break up. It can be recalled that Cooper's A Star Is Born co-star Lady Gaga has also been dragged into the couple's split narrative. This is despite Gaga's denial that she and Bradley had a romantic relationship.
