While a lot of royal fans are already unhappy with Prince Harry’s decision, a royal commentator claimed that the Duke of Sussex’s desire to make his wife happy could be damaging to him. Angela Levin said that his choice may come at a cost to himself.
“What Meghan wants, Meghan gets,” she said. “I think to the detriment of Harry.”
The royal commentator then pointed out one of the main reasons why most people don’t like Meghan Markle. “I think it is very unfair to say criticism is racism. I think a lot of the criticism comes about because she lectures the public on how to behave but does not do it herself,” she said.
Angela Levin then shared an example when Meghan Markle discouraged the public from flying in private jets, but she also does it herself. “We shouldn’t fly but she can go off on private jets to Elton John or to see the Clooneys,” she said.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were also recently criticized when they were paid around £755,000 to attend and speak on stage at the “Alternative Investment Summit” in Miami last Thursday. “On a PR level let’s just think about Prince Charles who is still a member of the Royal Family,” DJ, television and radio presenter Bobby Friction said. “If he went there, we wouldn’t be criticizing him in the same way.”
Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in 2018, they were bombarded with criticisms. Many believed that the former actress had a negative impact on the younger son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
Before Meghan Markle joined the royal family, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry were known as the royal trio. When the Duchess of Sussex became a part of the mix, their trio became the royal fab four.
While the Cambridges and Sussexes worked well at first, their relationship slowly became different. A lot of royal fans believe that Meghan Markle should exert some effort into fitting in with the royal family and not the other way around. Some thought that the reason why the Duchess of Sussex is having a hard time building a relationship with the other members of the royal family is that she didn’t have a good relationship with her own family.
