Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were granted by the senior members of the British Royal Family to become "financially independent." While the deal of the so-called Megxit will officially be effective in April, it seemed like the Sussex couple has already started pursuing their personal ventures.

Earlier this month, the Duke and Duchess were spotted in Miami for a JPMorgan-sponsored event, the Alternative Investment Summit, which held annually in the city of Florida as per reports. This was the first time that the couple made an appearance before the public after their controversial exit.

According to previous reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle served as the "keynote speakers" of the corporate event. It was then revealed that they talked about several issues surrounding mental health, notably the Duke of Sussex. As for the Duchess, she reportedly talked about her "love" for her husband amid all the struggles and challenges that he has been facing in recent years.

While it was unknown as to how much they were paid to speaking at the event, Daily Mail UK recently exposed the unconfirmed details of the gig. Based on the publication's claims, the Sussex couple was thought to receive over $1 million for their appearance and speech during the summit in Miami.

It remains unclear, though, if this is true. Even so, many are convinced that this is likely the range of the fees for the "public speaking" and public appearance.

In a report released by Express UK, it was said that several royal experts also believe that "public speaking" at corporate events might be one of the main gigs that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will do now that they have the freedom to get employed and earn their own money in their own ways.

As per expert, Richard Fitzwilliams, corporate events normally pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for speakers. These individuals were said to be usually "influences" from the financial and business industries.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are nothing like those influential people from finance and politics. So, this likely denotes that their "enormous fame" is the one that enables them to get invites for speaking at corporate events.

The royal expert continued to explain that, aside from their fame, their "successful networks" is also another aspect that is likely looked upon. Accordingly, it is not surprising if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pursue this kind of career in the near future.
