TWICE Mina recently joined her fellow members to perform Feel Special for the first time after she took a hiatus for anxiety last year.
Fans of TWICE who attended TWICELIGHTS in Japan's Fukuoka stage were surprised to see Mina attend the concert and join her members for the performance. Mina was on a break for the past several months to focus on her mental health, All Kpop reported.
TWICE members also had a lot of touching moments as they reunited with Mina, hugging her at every opportunity, and showing how much they missed the Japanese member.
In a separate update, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Mina has been recovering well. However, they did not state whether Mina will be rejoining TWICE in upcoming concerts and promotions just yet.
"The condition of Mina's health has stabilized a lot. Future activities will continue to be carried out with careful consideration of Mina's health," the label said in a statement.
ONCEs were happy to see all nine members on stage, something that has not happened in the past seven months after Mina's brief appearance at a TWICE fan meet in Korea last year.
Fans were happy to see that Mina seems to be taking gradual steps to return to the stage and took it as a sign of her good recovery. Mina has spent the last few months undergoing treatments.
It can be recalled that JYP Entertainment did not commit to Mina's return date when they originally announced that Mina will be taking a break after being diagnosed with anxiety last year at the height of TWICE's World Tour. The agency stood by their artist and said that they will prioritize Mina's well being above anything else and announce her return to the stage when she is well and truly recovered.
As a result of TWICE's first reunion performance in seven months, #ProudOfYouMina trended at No. 1 on worldwide Twitter.
In related news, it can be recalled that Mina recently suffered a scare when a foreign stalker got a hold of her home address and brazenly went to her house to ring the doorbell. The foreigner talked to Mina on the intercom briefly before she cut off the conversation and called the police, Koreaboo reported.
The foreign fan was taken in for questioning and was asked to sign an agreement that he would not make any move to contact Mina again in the future.
Stalking events have caused a huge problem for TWICE after Nayeon's foreign stalker caused several incidents in his effort to get close to the TWICE member, prompting JYP to seek police protection for the members.
Nayeon's stalker also caused a commotion on a plane as he was able to get TWICE's flight details and board the flight. The alleged stalker also posted Chaeyoung's personal number on Twitter resulting in chaos as she was flooded by messages and calls from strangers.
