Criminal Minds series finale will air its two-part episode on CBS next week. Since this would be the final one, the series will likely bring back some of the familiar faces that appeared throughout its run. Here are some of the confirmed stars set to appear in the finale.
In Criminal Minds series finale, Michael Mosley is coming back as Everett Lynch a.k.a. "The Chameleon"; one of the most notable antagonists in the show. But aside from the return of this villain, viewers will also see some of the familiar faces of members of the BAU.
For instance, it has been confirmed that Gail O'Grady (Krystall), Josh Stewart (Will), Kelly Frye (Kristy), and Stephen Bishop (Mendoza), will all make an appearance in Criminal Minds series finale. Jane Lynch also returns as Diana Reid in the show's final run.
These are just some of the familiar faces confirmed to be returning in the final season, though some speculated CBS is keeping other guest stars in the final episodes. However, even though there are returning characters, some may not be part of the finale as well.
CarterMatt noted that Shemar Moore will not reprise his role as Derek Morgan in Criminal Minds series finale. There are also no updates about the other former series regulars stopping by in the last episodes. Yet, fans still believe there'll be some surprise appearances in the finale.
It seems like the finale will focus more on the BAU members who are currently part of the team. All of them have gone through so much and they do everything they can to support each other. The series will likely tie all the loose ends to deliver a satisfying ending to all of them.
Meanwhile, the first part of the finale is titled "Face Off." It's been a year since Rossi (Joe Mantegna) almost died at the hands of Lynch. Now, he developed some theories, with inspiration from Jason Gideon (Ben Savage), his former partner. So, the BAU team goes on an epic hunt to capture Lynch.
In the second part, titled "And in The End," Dr. Reid suffered from a brain injury after an explosive encounter with Lynch. The injury caused him to experience hallucinations and was visited by ghosts from his past. Who would it be?
The BAU also discovered something about Lynch which affects Rossi personally. And lastly, the entire BAU team comes together to celebrate the retirement of Rossi. After all the chaos, all of them will come together to celebrate an important occasion.
The first half of Criminal Minds series finale will arrive on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 9 PM ET/PT, while the second and last part airs on the same night at 10 PM ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.
