The two sent their fans into a frenzy after they were seen at the recent 2020 Oscars sharing a sweet moment. Many fans felt nostalgic about the time when the two A-list Hollywood dated a decade ago.
Bradley Cooper and Renée Zellweger had a reunion at the Oscars and it sparked rumors that the ex-couple has rekindled an old romance. The two were seen chatting and smiling with one another during the ceremony.
Zellweger won the Best Actress that night for her performance as Hollywood legend Judy Garland in the biopic Judy. Cooper, on the other hand, attended the event as one of the producers of Joker.
Zellweger and Cooper first worked together in the movie Case 39 in 2006. They did not date at the time as Copper was engaged to actress Jennifer Esposito. The actor and Esposito married in December 2006 but decided to split after just five months in their marriage.
Two years later, the American Sniper actor started Zellweger. However, they decided to part ways in 2011. Bradley got romantically involved with Zoe Saldana while the Bridget Jones's Diary actress dated musician Doyle Bramhall II. The two reportedly broke up in May 2019.
On its latest issue, OK! claimed Bradley and Renée reignited the old flame between them when they bumped into each other at the Oscars. The tabloid cited a source as saying the encounter ended up with the A Star Is Born actor inviting Zellweger out to dinner and she allegedly accepted the invitation right away. The source alleged that this led to more secret dates although the Oscars happened just less than a week ago.
"The timing was perfect since they're both single. Once they got to chatting, it was clear to both of them that the chemistry was still there," the tabloid quoted a source as saying.
The insider, however, backpedaled a little and claimed Bradley and Renée are taking things slowly at the moment. While the actor is allegedly excited to give things between them a second chance, the Jerry Maguire actress is "cautiously optimistic" on where it will lead and if they have what it takes to make it work this time around.
Gossip Cop, however, said the actors' fans should not expect too much. The outlet noted that Zellweger's rep and its source close to Cooper have confirmed that there is no truth about the two reigniting their past romance. Gossip Cop stressed that Bradley and Renée just had a friendly interaction at the Oscars and nothing more to it.
