Better Call Saul season 5 is arriving within a few weeks on AMC, and fans were excited to see Jimmy McGill a.k.a. Saul Goodman back on the small screen. The series has also been releasing some random videos to hype up the new installment further, and the recent one features Mike Ehrmantraut and his pimiento cheese sandwich.
Recently, a 40-second clip was released featuring Mike, but it doesn't give much detail as to what we can expect on the character in Better Call Saul season 5. Instead, the video shows the character providing a proper lesson on how to make a pimiento cheese sandwich. Perhaps, the series opted not to say too much to avoid spoiling the viewer.
But, what's next for Mike in Better Call Saul season 5? We know that he's willing to do everything he can to get his job done. He hasn't changed that much over the past years, though his circumstances change in the present. In the latest installment, he's been doing work on the superlab, and he'll be more involved with Gus Fring.
Also, it looks like Mike will collaborate more with Jimmy and his new persona of Saul Goodman in the upcoming season. Viewers didn't see Mike and Jimmy spending more time together in the previous season, though it's apparent the two have a history together. The fifth installment will likely explore that, especially since we're now nearing the Breaking Bad timeline.
Meanwhile, there are some familiar faces in Breaking Bad world appearing in the Better Call Saul season 5. For instance, Dean Norris will reprise his role as Hank Schrader for two episodes, along with his partner, Steven Gomez, (played by Steven Michael Quezada). TVLine reported Hank and Gomez would appear in the third and fourth episode, where they'll be crossing paths with Jimmy/Saul.
As for Jimmy and Kim Wexler, their relationship may not go well in the latest installment. Jimmy is becoming more Saul Goodman, making their situation complicated. Kim has tried to stay on Jimmy's side whatever he's gone through, but their story this season will be different. Since he's seeking out his new persona, that only means he needs to change who he was.
Better Call Saul season 5 will be arriving on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 10 PM on AMC. The series will then air the next day, Monday, Feb. 24, at 9 PM. This will likely be the weekly schedule and regular timeslot this season.
