This year's Valentine's Day was the first time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated together. The Sussex pair were thousands of miles apart last year as Prince Harry had a royal engagement in Norway.

According to People, it's an exciting Valentine's for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex this year, considering it will be their very first as husband and wife. Sources say, however, that the Sussex royals will likely keep it low-key but romantic as they spend the time enjoying each other's company in their home in Canada.

Prince Harry and Meghan have more time for each other and their son, Archie Harrison, now that they have stepped back as senior members of the royal family. The situation was quite the opposite in 2019, when Prince Harry was on an official royal work on Feb. 14.

The Duke of Sussex visited British servicemen stationed in the Scandinavian region and enjoyed a candlelit igloo. So, he won't miss his wife so much; the servicemen prepared a tableau made of ice that had a photo of Prince Harry and Meghan during their wedding day.

Meghan, on the other hand, spent Valentine's Day all by herself in Frogmore Cottage as she was heavy with their first child at that time. The couple reunited a day after the most romantic day of the year to attended a gala at the Natural History Museum.

Meanwhile, friends of Prince Harry and Meghan say they do not have any regrets about changing their life. They feel that they are "besotted" to each other and that the choice to leave the royal family lifted a huge weight off their shoulders.

Now, the relieved couple can finally focus on being a family and raising their son away from the royal spotlight. The close friend said that Prince Harry loves being with Archie, who is a very happy baby, while Meghan cooks food for her boys.

The Duchess of Sussex is tending to Prince Harry and Archie and is quite the great mother, the friend added. The Sussexes are very much enjoying their life as a regular family.

In January, Prince Harry and Meghan announced that they wish to step back from their royal duties and live half the time in Canada. After a few weeks of discussion with Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth finally released a statement to say they support Prince Harry and Meghan's choice.
