Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were at Palo Alto, California last Tuesday, Feb. 11, to secretly meet with professors and academics of the prestigious Stanford University. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly sought their expertise and brainstormed ideas for a new foundation they are planning to launch as they step back from their royal life.

According to Today, the brainstorming session took "several hours" as Prince Harry and Meghan plan out their newest venture. The Sussex royals booked a commercial flight from Canada and were met at Stanford by its president Marc Tessier-Lavigne.

Prince Harry and Meghan's visit to Stanford has once again raised questions about the couple's plan to move to the West Coast. Currently, the Sussex pair are still based in the Commonwealth country of Canada.

According to Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are apparently "weighing their options" to either live in New York, Malibu, or their current home in Vancouver. Reports further cited that they have been looking for a house in Los Angeles, as they plan to spend some time in Meghan's birth city this summer with their son, Archie.

Specifically, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are hoping to find a house in L.A., where they can also hold meetings as well as entertain friends. Sources said that the couple is in the process of interviewing their security team and staff. Prince Harry and Meghan plan to hire locals from Los Angeles to work for them during their stay.

For now, the arrangement is still temporary as Prince Harry and Meghan are still going to keep their Canada rented property. The Sussex royals want two homes in North America, one in Canada and another on the West Coast.

Prince Harry and Meghan still have a home in London, in Frogmore Cottage. Reports from Daily Express stated, however, that some of their stuff have been hauled by a moving van shortly after Prince Harry left for Canada in January. It's likely that the Sussexes still want to use their old furnishing and items in their North American base.

According to sources close to the couple, Prince Harry and Meghan are happier and more relaxed away from London. So far, the Sussexes aren't regretting their decision to step back from the royal limelight.

Sources also said that Prince Harry and Meghan feel like a huge weight has been lifted off their shoulders. They can shift their focus on raising their son in a normal environment and establishing their new life away from the royals.
