Margot Robbie is not new to some rumors about her marriage, more so if it involves her co-stars. A new rumor on the Australian actress alleged that her marriage to film producer Tom Ackerly is falling apart because of Robbie's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio.
NW published a story this week that claimed the Bombshell actress flirted with A-list actors at the Oscars last week while her husband looked on unhappily. The tabloid quoted a supposed friend of the couple as saying while Ackerly is "used" to his wife's frequent flirting, she took it one step further when she embraced DiCaprio during the award show.
The outlet claimed Robbie and Ackerly's marriage has been on a rocky patch and the incident with DiCaprio "could likely spell doom" to the couple. Gossip Cop, however, stressed that there is no truth to this story.
It pointed out that NW has no proof that Robbie and Ackerly's marriage is crumbling other than the allegation that the Birds of Prey actress flirted with some actors at the Oscars while her husband is around. Gossip Cop also noted that DiCaprio brought his girlfriend of two years, actress Camila Morrone, to the ceremony. This only showed that The Revenant actor is not eyeing anyone else but his girlfriend.
The outlet added that it is also insulting to assume that DiCaprio made Robbie famous. NW disregarded the fact that the actress/film producer is a talented actress.
Though is it true that Robbie had her international breakthrough when she was cast in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, she had proven that she was worthy of the chance to work with top-notched names in the industry. In the movie, Margot played the role of the wife of DiCaprio's character Jordan Belfort.
Moreover, Margot and Tom don't seem to be having marital troubles before and after the Oscars based on their sweet photo on Instagram. In the snap, the couple is seen hugging each other while on black tie outfits for the event.
Margot and Tom have been together since 2014. They first met at the set of her movie, Suite Francaise, where Ackerley worked as assistant director. The pair got married in a private ceremony in Australia in December 2016.
Gossip Cop also noted that this is not the first time the 29-year-old actress and DiCaprio have been romantically linked to each other. In April 2018, NW also reported that Ackerly was forbidding Robbie to join the cast of Once Upon a Time In Hollywood because he was, allegedly, jealous of the movie male leads, DiCaprio and Brad Pitt.
There were also rumors last year that the actors were fighting over Robbie's affection. Both rumors were debunked as well.
