Folks who are looking forward to the budget-friendly offering of Apple, the iPhone SE 2, are in for some good news. It appears that despite temporary business suspensions over in China, the device will not be among the ones that will be experiencing delays in launch.
No less than renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made the forecast in a report from Mac Rumors. According to him, the fact that the iPhone SE 2 will be comprised of minor new components should exempt it from suffering production delays.
One component Kuo points out is the 7-element plastic (7P) lens, which will not be featured on the iPhone SE 2. With efforts to make it cost-friendly as possible, the variant will come with a single-lens rear camera. The only updated components expected from it would be the A-series chip. The iPhone SE 2 is expected to rely on an A13 chip that will be supported by 3 GB of RAM. Potential buyers will have storage options, allowing them to pick either a 64 GB or 128 GB variant.
In a previous post, it was mentioned how the iPhone SE 2 would likely be priced at $399. This would be fairly similar to the suggested retail price of its predecessor. As far as aesthetics, the iPhone SE 2 will allegedly have a thick top and bottom. It will also have a Touch ID home button and will be closely similar in looks to the iPhone 8.
Though it will come out with hardly anything different, the price angle of the iPhone SE 2 should make it a suitable upgrade for Apple loyalists. The Cupertino company is expected to reuse some components, but the fact remains that it would be the latest device from Apple, a plausible solution for those who want to get the latest mobile phone offering from the Cupertino company.
Also, the latest take from Kuo also addresses concerns on the official release date. Though nothing has been officially announced, a first-hand glimpse of the iPhone SE 2 could come as early as March. Apparently, Apple has an event lined up next month believed to be part of the company’s plans to introduce its new products. The iPad Pro lineup is speculated to be the ones in focus, although seeing some iPhones in the mix would not be surprising. There is no word on adjustment dates for other iPhones set to be launched. But the ones featuring the 7P lens technology seem likely to be moved a bit due to the Wuhan coronavirus.
