Kate Middleton is always fond of talking about her family. If asked about their children, she would give updates about them. In a recent interview, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed that Prince William had a concerning, but expected, question to her after the birth of their first-born, Prince George.
The royal couple welcomed George in 2013. In an interview with Giovanna Fletcher on her podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, Kate revealed some behind-the-wall details of how she and William started their family.
The mother-of-three admitted that they undergo a major adjustment at home as first-time parents. Their used-to-be quiet home has been filled with baby cry and laughter. Kate said there was a time when William expressed his disbelief of what it takes to be parents.
"William was like 'Oh my gosh is this what parenting is going to be like?' It took us a bit of time to get ourselves settled... But that's the beauty, I suppose of having a new-born baby. You are pulled to your toughest and most unknown places," the Duchess said.
The future Queen also looked back on her childhood and applauded her parents for raising her and her siblings well. Kate said now that she is a parent herself, she could understand and appreciate how much her parents sacrificed for them.
William's wife said she had a very happy childhood. Her parents, Michael and Caroline Middleton, made sure that they were always present in all events in their life and she appreciates all of it, even the simplest ones such as walking together. Kate added her parents were always present on her sport matches when she was young and cheering for her on the sideline.
In the same interview, Kate Middleton also talked about the technique that helped her in the process of childbirth. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have three kids: George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Kate revealed she had taken several classes on hypnobirthing. It is a technique used by expecting mothers to meditate so they could manage severe morning sickness and hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition which causes severe vomiting during childbirth.
The 38-year-old Duchess of Cambridge confessed that she was "not the happiest of pregnant people." Like other pregnant women, she also suffered from pregnancy illnesses and hypnobirthing helped her a lot. Kate said she saw the power of the technique especially when she was on labor.
