Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made it clear that they wanted to live "financially independent" when they announced their exit last month. It also seemed like it was one of the reasons why they decided to step down as senior royals.

The Queen, along with other senior members of the Royal Family, granted the Sussex couple's wishes. As revealed, the Duke and Duchess will no longer receive funding from the Sovereign Grant once the deal takes in effect in spring.

While their exit will only become official in April, it looks like they have already started living the new chapter of their lives outside the United Kingdom. Since the talks of the Megxit deal concluded, they have been already living peacefully in their Vancouver Island home.

According to reports, it remains unknown as to how Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will earn their own money. But, Cheat Sheet cleared out that they will start to make their own cash flows as professionals. Whether it may be in Hollywood or anywhere else, the Sussex couple now has the freedom to do what they want.

However, the publication noted that they are still not allowed to get paid professionally until the deal becomes official. This is why their recent alleged million-dollar speech at a JPMorgan event in Miami became too controversial.

It was tipped by anonymous sources that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were paid about $1 million for their appearances and speeches during the corporate event. Although no confirmations have been made about the matter, this caught the attention of many as they are still being funded by the Sovereign Grant as well as Prince Charles, who was said to give $3 million to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The reports also mentioned that if they start to make their own money during this period of transition of the Megxit deal, it will certainly make things a lot more complicated, especially for the two of them.

Even so, Business Insider revealed that this is just a partial amount of what they would need if they intend to continue living a "lavish" life outside the monarchy. Given all the costs of their lifestyle in the past, they will reportedly need more than a million dollars to sustain it.

Based on the report released by the said publication, the costs of their home, travel, clothing, food, charity, and vacation seemingly amounted to more than millions of dollars for each category. This does not even include the costs of their personal expenses, including Archie Harrison's.

It is worth noting, however, that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle currently worth $30 million collectively. Nevertheless, this might not be enough if they will want to go on and continue the way they used to live as royals.
