Prince Harry might not be doing the best thing for his son, Archie Harrison. A royal expert said that, in the Duke of Sussex's desire to protect his son from the public eye, he might actually be isolating Archie from his cousins and other members of the family.

According to royal expert Angela Mollard, Archie doesn't have other connections with his family outside of his mom and dad, and grandmother Doria Ragland. Since Meghan doesn't have any siblings or relatives, Archie has no other extended family to interact with.

As Prince Harry and Meghan plan to raise Archie half the time in North America, the baby also won't have much chances to bond with his royal cousins. The choice to step back from royal life, due to the media pressure, might actually be a disadvantage for Archie since he will not be able to relate and bond with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Mollard further said that Prince Harry is actually feeling this isolation himself. Last week, when Prince Charles and Prince William had their father and son moment at a basketball court during a royal engagement, Mollard could not help but think about how much Prince Harry is missing out on family.

The royal expert said that Prince Harry might be come off as strong for fighting for what he wants in his life. However, he's also becoming "increasingly vulnerable" because his connection with his family is slowly diminishing. Mollard also said that the situation is worrisome for someone like Prince Harry, who openly talked about seeking professional help for his mental issues.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed Prince Harry won't be assuming his military roles for a year following their switch to private life after March 31. However, no new assignments or appointments will be handed down in Prince Harry's place, according to a spokesperson.

This news comes as The Sunday Times reported Princess Anne will be taking over Prince Harry's role as the Captain General of the Royal Marines. Apparently, Princess Anne is the personal choice of the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.

Prince Philip was the Captain General of the Royal Marines for over 50 years until his retirement from public service in 2017. Prince Harry inherited this role upon the Prince Philip's retirement.

It is apparently Prince Harry's military associations that he regrets to lose the most when he officially steps back from royal life. The Duke of Sussex, who had two tours of duties in Afghanistan in his decade-long military career, is most proud of his time as a serviceman.
