Members of boy group A.C.E have been traumatized over an attempted super glue terror attack by an anti-fan last February 18.
According to Beat Interactive, A.C.E's agency, members Jun, Donghun, Wow, Kim Byeongkwan, Chan are feeling psychological anxiety after the attack fearing that a similar incident may happen. Beat Interactive revealed that at around 10 pm on the evening of February 18, there was an attempt to attack the artists' vehicle with super glue initiated by anti-fans.
"This is a case where the person had the intention of purposely harming the artist and damaging property by identifying the artist's travel time and route in advance. Upon noticing the incident, we have reported it to the local police station, and are carrying out a close investigation through an analysis of CCTV footage. We will carry out severe punishment against the perpetrator with no leniency," the agency stated.
It was believed that the super glue was used by the anti-fan to sabotage the car and cause an accident for the members. As the agency threatened to take legal action against the perpetrators of the super glue attack, Beat Interactive also promised that they will not spare those who are attacking and maligning their artists with negative comments online.
In their statement, the agency bared that A.C.E members have been suffering through mental anguish over the personal attacks, groundless rumors and defamation spread online by malicious commenters.Beat Interactive assured that they have already secured the services of a law firm specialized in prosecuting cases on defamation and obstruction of business so that those responsible for the malicious behavior will be held accountable.
The agency sought the help of A.C.E's fans in monitoring and reporting malicious comments to beef up the evidence against these individuals when they go to court. A.C.E will be postponing their upcoming schedules as a result after the members' mental health took a downturn after the attack. We will also arrange psychological counseling for the members upon their request.
Lastly, we are sorry for the trouble we have caused to our fans, and we are deeply grateful for the trust and support you have always given to A.C.E.It can be recalled that TVXQ's Yunho once suffered from an attack by an anti-fan who poisoned his drink with superglue. He admitted that he developed a panic attack at the time and traumatized from meeting fans, Koreboo reported.
