Kate Middleton is considered to be an all-around mom. The Duchess of Cambridge makes it a point to complete her royal obligations successfully while being an active parent to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

During her casual interview in Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Kate Middleton revealed that she tries to "incorporate" the experiences her grandmother gave her into her parenting. When asked about what parts of her childhood she would want to give her children, the Duchess of Cambridge chose a very simple yet important moment and praised her grandmother for the special bond.

"A few things really stand out for me, one is quality relationships,” she said. ”So those moments that you spend with people around you, I remember that from my own childhood. I had an amazing granny who devoted a lot of for us. Playing with us, doing arts and crafts, doing gardening stuff and cooking with us. I try and incorporate a lot of the experiences she gave us at the time into the experiences I give my children now."

Kate Middleton’s schedule as a senior royal is very hectic. But thanks to her solid family background, she manages to put her children on top of her priority list. The Duchess of Cambridge also shared that she still likes doing simple things, especially with her children, despite her royal status.

“What resonates the most is the simple things. I see that now with my own children. Life now is so busy and distracting and sometimes simple things like watching a fire on a really rainy day provide such enjoyment,” she shared. “I remember that from my childhood, the simple things, like going for a walk together, I try to do this with my children. It totally strips away complications and pressures. I think those experiences mean so much to children and the world they're in which is a real adventure at that age.”

In fact, Prince William and Kate Middleton are slowing down their royal engagements during Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s half-term break in school. Just like most parents do, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge typically take a break from work so they can spend more time with their children. This is also a good time for one-year-old Louis to have some fun time with his older siblings.

During the school vacation, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their kids often escape to their country home. However, there is still no official update as to where the family will be spending their week off.
