Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will soon be non-working royals. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced last month that they will be stepping down as senior royals to focus on their family and charities while being “financially independent.”

Although Queen Elizabeth showed support to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision, she still has the last say regarding the things that the couple needs to do before they go. Aside from dropping their HRH titles and Prince Harry losing his military titles, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now banned from using the word “royal” in their branding. However, PR expert Piers Brache claimed that the couple’ don't even need it.

"They don't need to use it,” he said. ”They are very well known and liked in the United States. If I were them then the sensible thing to do would be to take off that word voluntarily. The spotlight is even further on them. Rather weirdly they’ve increased their brand value because of it. By creating the Marmite brand they’ve made something more powerful, which will irritate a lot of other people, including his brother."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will officially leave the Royal Family on March 31. From then on, they will be on their own.

Previous reports revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be creating their own TV firm. Rumor has it that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be providing voiceovers and producing documentaries on “worthy causes,” and this is where they will be earning their money.

“The sorts of deals they will do will be more along the lines of the documentary series the Duke is executive producing on mental health for Apple TV,” a source told the MailOnline. “It’s a new model, admittedly, but they are determined to prove to the family that this can work.”

Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth’s statement after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s announcement sparked speculations that the couple lost their titles. Her Majesty called her grandson and his wife as simply Harry and Meghan, instead of their royal titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

We now know that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will remain as Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Although the couple wished to step back from being senior royals, they still want to “collaborate” with Queen Elizabeth. However, they were told that they can “no longer formally represent” Her Majesty in their new lives.
