The Golden State Warriors have all but kissed the current NBA season goodbye, mapping out plans to rebuild another NBA dynasty. So far, the only remaining players include Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, the first two out of action due to injuries.

But as most know, it takes more than just three players to win an NBA title. The Dubs are currently searching for new pieces, and Andrew Wiggins is seen as one of them. In fact, a former Golden State Warrior believes the former top pick is perfect and someone who can help the Warriors' plans of returning to the top.

In an interview with TMZ Sport, Tim Hardaway believes that the Dubs made the right move of trading for Wiggins. Gone is D'Angelo Russell, someone who could be dispensable once Curry and Thompson are back in action. Wiggins fills in the small forward void, a position left by Kevin Durant. Though the Canadian is far off when it comes to comparisons with the former NBA MVP, head coach Steve Kerr does not really need another star but someone who can blend in well with the veterans.

"Andrew Wiggins is gonna be real nice with them. Yes, he is," Hardaway said. When asked if he could help bring the Dubs back to the finals, the 53-year-old definitely thinks so.

What makes Wiggins interesting is that he is showing that he is not purely a scorer. He has shown that he could also defend, a result of his years of playing the shooting guard position with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Imagine someone standing 6-foot-7 who can make life hard for guys like LeBron James or even Kawhi Leonard, Kerr has a potent weapon he could turn to start the 2020-21 NBA season.

This NBA season, Wiggins has averaged 22.1 points, 5.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game according to Basketball-Reference.com. The numbers alone are glaring and something that the Dubs could surely use. With Curry and Thompson out, Wiggins is tasked to take charge for now. But the script will definitely change next season when the Warriors have a complete and healthy roster.

Kerr needs to place additional stars to push the Dubs back on top. It appears he is slowly addressing that, adding young players with potential. He has already locked Marquese Chriss, and Dragan Bender could be next. More are expected to come this summer as the Dubs take the beating now and return the favor several months later.
