Doctor Who season 12 finale is arriving later this week and there are a lot of reasons to be excited about in this episode. This season, Sacha Dhawan was introduced as the newest version of The Master's; one of the most notorious villains on the time-travel show. The actor teased in a recent interview what viewers can expect in the season finale.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Dhawan said one of the important statements The Master said to The Doctor is: "Everything you think you know is a lie." He is hoping that this question will be answered before Doctor Who season 12 concludes. However, even though The Doctor may get some answers, the actor teased this may only lead to more questions.

Dhawan explained The Master has many different sides, but viewers will see a side of him that wasn't seen before. Similarly, The Doctor will also show a side of her that we haven't seen before. Then, the actor further teased that the finale of Doctor Who season 12 would be "pretty chaotic," "action-packed," and "incredibly emotional."

Dhawan was introduced as The Master during the early run of the current season. Since then, his character became an essential part of the series and he will have a major role in the season finale. Meanwhile, The Master was previously played by Roger Delgado and Michelle Gomez; the villain's "Missy" iteration.

In another related report, the ratings of the current season were down than in the previous installment. CarterMatt reported Doctor Who season 12 ratings decreased by a large margin compared to season 11. But despite the decline, it looks like the series will continue bringing more episodes in the future. It may likely be renewed for season 13 rather than being canceled.

Speaking to Deadline, BBC drama controller Piers Wenger shared his thoughts about the future of the series. Wegner said he worked on the series and produced it for many years, and that the production values have never been better.

Then, he explained that Doctor Who is an "incredibly important show" for young viewers and many families around the world continue watching it. Wegner noted the series has been an important show for them and they're still on a very long way from wanting to rest it.

Doctor Who season 12 finale airs its second part on Sunday, Mar. 1, on BBC.
