Queen Elizabeth II has remained calm and above all things amid the controversial exit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Despite all the negative presence and response surrounding Sussex's recent announcement, the monarch has been repeatedly praised and commended for overall composure.

According to Page Six, royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith recently shared her thoughts on the Queen. It was stated that she seemingly appears to continue her "enviable serenity" amid all the controversies ever since the new year arrived. The royal expert further attested that Queen Elizabeth II continues to stay loyal to the Crown and carries out her duties and responsibilities in an "unflappable fashion."

It is true, though, considering the support that she has been giving to the members of the British Royal Family, especially Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. After the Sussex couple shockingly announced their plans to step down, the monarch released an official statement revealing her public support and care for the Duke and Duchess.

However, recent reports were claiming that the case is quite different for Queen Elizabeth II behind closed doors. As per Vanity Fair's Katie Nicholl, royal sources and insiders revealed that the Queen sees Megxit as "damaging" to the British Monarchy.

This was said to be the reason why the monarch wants all of it to be done as soon as possible. The sources also went on to attest that the Queen is "reluctant" to talk about it.

Aside from seeing it as a "damaging" factor toward the Crown and the Royal Family, it was also contended that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decision to leave the royal life has been very "hurtful" toward Queen Elizabeth II. Even so, the basis for this dynamic was not fully explained.

But, it is worth noting that previous reports pointed out that when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their "bombshell" announcement earlier this year, it was alleged that no one from the Royal Family knew about it. Accordingly, it was said that it all came as a surprise to everyone, especially the Queen, Prince Charles, and Prince William.

Although no confirmations have been made, many royal fans and experts concluded that this was the case all along. Nevertheless, Megxit is already concluding. Not to mention, the core details of the Sussex couple's exit have been already released to the public.

Despite the Queen's reported support to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, it was reported that the couple can no longer use the word, "royal," especially on their brand. Also, they will officially quit the royal life while retaining their HRH titles on March 31.
