Piers Morgan's absence from Good Morning Britain doesn't stop him from hitting out at Prince Harry. As the Duke of Sussex is back in the U.K. to launch a much eco-friendly way of traveling to avoid carbon emissions, the known critic of the Sussexes questioned why he chose to fly to Britain that contradicted his initiative.
Meghan Markle's husband returned to the U.K. to do the final stretch of his royal engagements before he officially steps down as a senior royal. Part of his duty is to launch the eco-friendly firm, Travalyst, to track the flyers' carbon emissions with its scoring system.
However, as Prince Harry chose to fly to go to Britain, Piers Morgan took to Twitter to question his choice of transportation to talk about carbon emission. "Why did he fly across the Atlantic to say this when he could have said it via Skype?" he tweeted.
As expected, fans and followers alike flooded the TV host's post with comments, as some of them also questioned the sixth in line to the throne's move. One Twitter user said that he chose to fly across the Atlantic to tell people not to fly.
Another one also wondered the total of his carbon emission with all the flying he did. One fan also agreed to Piers Morgan that Prince Harry could have used Skype to avoid emitting more carbon.
However, some came to Prince Harry's defense. Someone said that he had to return to the U.K. to complete his final royal duties, while another one suggested that he might have some other things to do in his home country that needed his presence.
Later, Piers Morgan made another tweet about Prince Harry's initiative, explaining his side after getting criticisms himself. He said that the whole thing about the Duke's return, traveling, and the environment is just quite simple.
If a public figure wants to preach something to the public, Piers Morgan believes the preacher should practice what they preach. Otherwise, they could stop talking. He also said that he is not being unkind or mean toward Prince Harry, as what he is saying is a "self-evident truth."
Anyhow, it was not the first time that Piers Morgan slammed Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle. He usually does so that he is already accused of bullying the royal pair.
He also called them out when they released their statement outlining their so-called Megxit deal and life after being senior members of the royal family. Piers Morgan said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have "staggering disrespect" toward Queen Elizabeth II after they claimed that the Monarch doesn't own the word "royal."
