Jimin and V’s bond goes beyond friendship as they call themselves “soulmates.” The BTS boys went to the same school and quickly struck up a friendship. They also became trainees in Big Hit Entertainment, and the pair always say that all the difficulties that they were dealing with that time became easier to handle because they had each other.
But just because they are “soulmates,” doesn’t mean that they don’t have some misunderstandings at all. In fact, when James Corden asked the boys during their “Carpool Karaoke” stint if who among the members argue a lot, Suga revealed it was Jimin and V.
When the funny host asked Jimin and V what they usually argue about, the pair kept mum but Jungkook spilled the tea and said “dumplings.” This revelation shocked James Corden and defended that his “little Mochi” (Jimin) is not one to argue. For those who have watched BTS’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment, you already know by now that James Corden and Jimin became Papa Mochi and Baby Mochi, which is why the host was defending his baby.
However, James Corden’s Baby Mochi and V talked about the dumpling incident in their duet for BTS's new album Map of the Soul: 7 called "Friends." They shared about how they first met and became best friends. The upbeat song recalled a lot of Jimin and V’s inside history together.
One particular line caught a lot of ARMYs’ eyes. The lyrics say, “Our memories are each a movie on its own. The dumpling incident would be a comedy movie yeah yeah.”
Since this “dumpling incident” was never brought up by Jimin or V or even the rest of the BTS members, fans were really curious about it. One ARMY then took to Weverse to ask about it.
“Taehyung or Jimin, please explain the dumpling incident to us!” one fan wrote. Since V is one of the most active members of BTS on Weverse, he was the one who finally resolved the curiosity by replying to the fan’s post.
“It was Team Eat-After-Dancing vs Team Eat-While-Dancing,” he said. While this may sound petty to some, this is exactly the kind of topic that best friends argue about.
Meanwhile, one fan previously took to Twitter to remind everyone why Jimin and V are called soulmates.
“Thinking about VMIN during high school when Jimin was new in Seoul and Taehyung introduced Jimin to his friends and told them to take care of him,” the ARMY wrote. “Taehyung made sure that people will be nice to Jimin and stopped anyone who tried to make fun of his accent.”
