In their talk, the iconic singer discussed some personal aspects of her life, including her engagement to Alex Rodriguez and the heart-melting reason why they are yet to get married.
The couple had been engaged since March last year. Since then, fans have been waiting when the two will finally tie the knot. Although there are rumors that their much-awaited wedding will happen this year, they have yet to give any official details about it.
Anyhow, Jennifer Lopez revealed that she is in no rush to get married. She feels like that she still has a lot to do and give in this world, per Celebrity Insider.
When she and Alex Rodriguez got engaged, she admitted that her old thinking came back. The hopeless romantic in her, which led her to three failed marriages, was excited on the thought that she would get married in a couple of months.
However, the former baseball shortstop advised her not to rush as he knew they would be spending the rest of their lives together. He also told the 50-year-old singer that whatever she wanted to do, they could talk about it.
Jennifer Lopez also talked about the difference in her relationship today with Alex Rodriguez compared to her previous ones. "We're going to try and build something together that we both have never had or never felt like we had, which was a family with a husband and wife, and a mother and father," she said.
They embrace all their children -- they both have two kids from their previous relationships -- and show them what they lack before. "It was different than anything I had ever experienced in the sense of his consistency," the hitmaker added. She also proudly said that A-Rod does what he says every time, and that is big for her.
However, this doesn't mean that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez may not get married this year. A source told US Weekly that the Hustlers star is ready to shift her focus to wedding planning after her busy schedule.
The insider revealed that their wedding is supposed to be this summer after they postponed it due to Jennifer Lopez's filming schedule, Super Bowl appearance, and other work commitments. Now, she is allegedly ready to begin her wedding plans with Alex Rodriguez and make it her top priority.
