Korean singer Chungha broke her silence on the news that two of her staff members tested positive for coronavirus. She also talked about the health condition of her managers and the religious affiliation of her staff.

Chungha's label, MNH Entertainment, earlier confirmed that two staff members who accompanied the singer at the Milan Fashion Week in Italy tested positive for COVID-19. The former I.O.I member, however, tested negative as well as the rest of the group.

According to the agency, Chungha returned to Korea on February 24 and one of the members has a fever. The staff member got examined and has been confirmed to have COVID-19.

The "Roller Coaster" singer and all of the staff that accompanied her on their trip were put on isolation. Upon further examination of the rest of the entourage, one more staff member was found positive of the virus.

During her VLive broadcast to celebrate her 1000th day since her solo debut, Chungha thanked her fans for their support. She also confirmed that two of her staff members who traveled with her to Italy tested positive for the virus.

The "Snapping" singer, however, denied that one of the two is her manager. Chungha clarified that all of her three managers tested negative for COVID-19 and are very healthy. Chungha admitted that the false reports upset her.

"It feels wrong that such reports came out even after the agency released an official statement. I feel a little resentful and hurt [because of that]," she said.

Italy is the hardest-hit country in Europe by the coronavirus. It is third in the world with the highest number of cases next to China and South Korea.

Chungha added she has been isolating herself at home since she arrived from Italy. She also assured her fans that she has been taken care of and there is nothing to worry about her health.

Furthermore, the 24-year-old K-pop idol assured that none of her staff members have any relations with the Shincheonji religious group. The group, which is based in Daegu, South Korea, is currently under fire for its actions on the spread of coronavirus. Daegu has been the epicenter of COVID-19 in SoKor and many of the confirmed cases are members of Shincheonji.

For now, Chungha canceled all of her planned activities. The 88Rising also announced that the singer will not be attending Head in the Clouds Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia.
