Kand Daniel fans have been waiting for his comeback since his hiatus in December 2019. That wait will soon be over as the K-pop idol teased a possible comeback this month.
Kang Daniel dropped a teaser that showed only his name and the date "2020.03." His fans already know that the singer will premiere his new reality show, titled Hello, Daniel, on March 4. Fans speculated that the new teaser could be for something else, perhaps a new album.
Daniel's label, KONNECT Entertainment, previously revealed that the former Wanna One member is working on his new album. The agency, however, did not divulge additional information about the album and when it will be released.
The fans' speculation that the new teaser could be a new album got further hyped after the singer shared on Instagram a photo of a mic and he captioned it, "Recording complete." His fans also called the DANITY, think KD is indeed teasing about his upcoming new album.
Then hours later, the Color on Me singer also posted the video of his dance cover of Ed Sheeran And Travis Scott's "Antisocial" song. In the clip, Daniel is seen dancing along with who seems to be one of his backup dancers. Many DANITY were thrilled to see the singer back on his feet.
In November 2019, Daniel released two digital singles "Touchin'" and "Adulthood." However, after a few weeks of promotions, KONNECT Entertainment announced that the singer will be taking a break, saying Daniel wants to take care of his mental health.
The agency revealed that Daniel has been experiencing anxiety while promoting his latest single. DANITYs expressed their support to the idol and vowed to wait for his return.
Meanwhile, Hello, Daniel will premiere on March 4 at 7 p.m. KST and air every Wednesday through SBS FiL, the new cable channel run by SBS Medianet. It is also scheduled for a late broadcast on SBS MTV on March 7 and will air every Saturday.
In the reality show, Daniel explored Portland, Oregon alone and as a 25-year-old young adult rather than a K-pop idol. The singer admitted that he felt pressured to star on his first solo variety show. Daniel said it felt like he needs to work harder since all the responsibility to make the show enjoyable to viewers relies on him.
Kang Daniel debuted in the music industry as one of the eleven members of Wanna One. The group through the second season of Produce 101. Wanna One debuted on August 7, 2017, and the members promoted together for more than a year before they disbanded on December 31, 2018.
