Manifest season 2 episode 9 is coming out next week on NBC, with the title "Airplanes Bottles." This episode will continue uncovering the mysteries surrounding Flight 828; why it disappeared and reappeared after many years. But aside from that mystery, the passengers also need to find a way on how to beat their expiration dates or death dates.
In the promo of Manifest season 2 episode 9, Cal suddenly woke up in the middle of the night because of a Calling. Ben and Grace go to his room and ask him for details about his vision. The young boy then said he has seen Flight 828 at the time of its disappearance. His father then asked him whether Cal knew about what really happened to the flight.
Meanwhile, Saanvi has started to exhibit memory loss, likely as a side effect from the cure she tried on herself. Although she successfully removed her genetic anomaly and Callings, it seems like she damaged her brain while conducting the procedure. Despite her condition, Saanvi will continue to search for a viable cure in next week's episode.
But the question now is: is Saanvi in danger? That's very likely, considering that she's been continuously researching about the cure. There might be some people out there wanting to target her because of her work. So, she needs to be prepared with everything. Since she's also close to getting answers, many would want to harm her as well.
Olive will also have an important mission in Manifest season 2 episode 9. She's researching about the Al-Zuras while a storm is brewing outside their house. It looks like the prophetic 16th-century text includes some present-day references. Olive continues her search about the mysterious Flight 828 and she may provide some new insights in the upcoming episode.
Olive worked with TJ to track down the journal, and she's also along for the right after Ben followed his Callings -- resulting in saving TJ's life. Although Olive wasn't present on the flight and doesn't share the Callings, her outside perspective might be one of the keys to solving the mystery. She is doing everything she can to help the passengers on the flight.
One of the biggest things Olive has been looking through this season is an opportunity to understand the world around her and her place in it. She felt like she didn't have any important role as anyone in the family. But now, it's apparent that she finally found her place and she's working with them to fully uncover and understand all the mysteries surrounding the flight.
