BTS member Jin helped a child with a heart problem without spending. The 15-year-old child had surgery earlier this year and the procedure was fully funded by the Korean Heart Foundation in the name of the "Epiphany" singer.

A child with a congenital heart defect was able to receive a heart surgery without her parents worrying about the hospital bills because of Jin. The child sent a letter of gratitude to the singer and the BTS ARMY after heart surgery.

The child wrote she was worried at first that her parents won't be able to afford the surgery. Fortunately, the Korean Heart Foundation has funded the procedure through its Celebrity Ideal Type World Cup polls.

Jin has been declared as champion in the male category of the poll. Jin won with a voting rate of 50.41%. The final winners of the male and female categories were picked among 10 contestants. The poll was conducted in September 2019.

The foundation carried out the Celebrity Ideal Type World Cup along with a campaign called, "Heartbeat of all Hearts." It has a mission that states, "The ideal types that make our hearts race will also help someone's heart beats again." The foundation funded surgical expenses of patients with heart disease in their names of the poll champions.

Two patients successfully received heart surgery and were funded in the names of the final male and female winners. The female winner of the game is Korean singer/actress IU.

The child that Jin sponsored is currently on recovery. In her letter, she vowed to the singer that she would follow her doctor's orders such as not to forget to take her medicine and visit the hospital regularly. The child said she would get better so she will be healthier the time she meets Jin in person.

The BTS oldest member has been known for his charity works. He made regular donations to UNICEF Korea in private. However, his good deeds were eventually made public when he got inducted into the UNICEF Honors Club in May 2019 for donating over 100 million won (US$84,000).

Meanwhile, Jin's solo song, "Moon," has been recorded the highest-charting side track in BTS's latest album Map of the Soul: 7 after topping the iTunes chart in 10 countries. "Moon" has been No. 1 in countries such as Finland, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the Philippines, and more.

"Moon" is the BTS Worldwide Handsome member's cosmic love song to their fans, the ARMY. In the song, he speaks directly to their fans. He called the ARMY as the Earth while he called himself as the Moon.

This song has a pop-rock vibe with catchy guitar chords. Jin co-wrote the song along with bandmate RM and BTS producers Slow Rabbit, Adora, DJ Swivel, and more.
