BTS has dropped teaser after announcing their much-awaited comeback album Map of the Soul: 7. The latest of which is the concept photos of the group. As soon as it was released, the BTS ARMY are digging in on what could be the theme of the new album.

Big Hit released one group photo and individual snaps of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. In the group photo, the members looked immaculate in their all-white attire while some white feathers are falling all around them. All members are also either standing or sitting on the edge of a huge hole on the wooden floor of what looks like a dilapidated house.

Numerous ARMY believed that the Map of the Soul: 7 album has a dark theme with a hint of hope because of the white outfit and white feathers that are flying around the members. Some said the photos have a fallen angel vibe. Others theorized that the white outfit could mean the members' desire for perfection like a black swan.

Some took noticed of how sad the members look at their photos. This made others believed that the album could be about the pain and struggle they septet have faced over the years.

Fans also think that the black hole represents the emptiness the members feel amidst their immense popularity. One fan believed that the hole represents the abyss and cited a quote from Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, a German philosopher, about facing one's inner demon.

Some also shared their theory as to why Jin is the only member that is not looking at the camera in their group photo. One fan said it could be because the eldest member of BTS is looking ahead as he is about to leave the group soon for South Korea's mandatory military service.

Others also pointed out that the concept photos coincide with what Suga said at the Zac Sang Show about the theme of the album. BTS ARMY believed it was a major hint from the rapper.

"One message that penetrates the album as a whole is that you must face your inner shadows, but resist becoming submerged into its depths. You must face it and move on forward," Suga can be recalled saying.

Map of the Soul: 7 is set to drop on February 21 at 6 p.m. KST. So far, the group has released three tracks from the album: "Shadow," "Black Swan," and "Ego." The music video of the lead single is scheduled to be released on February 28.

BTS debuted their dance choreography of "Black Swan" at The Late Late Show With James Corden last week. The video has already amassed 31 million views.
