BTS ARMY is freaking out over the unexpected announcement from Big Hit Entertainment that the group will be releasing a new album next month. As soon as Big Hit revealed the title of the next album, BTS ARMY flooded Twitter with their guesses of what it could mean.

Many BTS fans are expecting that the next album of the group will be titled Map of the Soul: Shadow or Map of the Soul: Ego but both are now scrapped off the list. Big Hit has confirmed that the next album of the leading boy group in the world will be titled Map of the Soul: 7.

As soon as the announcement dropped, it trended worldwide on Twitter. The hashtags #7isComing, #BTSIsComing, #MAP_OF_THE_SOUL_7, and #BTScomeback are on top spots of the trending topics worldwide.

Now, ARMY is starting to guess what could be the meaning of "7." Fans' instant guess is that it has something to do with the seven members of the group or their years in the entertainment industry since their debut in 2013.

A fan pointed out the hint that the group left during their performance at the 2019 MAMA last month. It can be recalled that, in the group's VCR for "Dionysus," RM can be heard saying "the 7 years we have been together, always exists in 7 members of BTS." Watch BTS's 2019 MAMA performances below. While BTS has seven members and will be celebrating their seventh anniversary on June 12, every ARMY knows it is more than that. The group has always a deeper meaning to their every song, music videos, performances, and others. The "7" in the album title could mean something else.

Another fan expressed excitement on the possibility that Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will have solo songs in the new album. Another ARMY slammed Big Hit for not giving fans time to save money for the pre-order which will kick off on Thursday.

According to Big Hit, the album will drop on Feb. 21. BTS ARMY is also getting ready with their money as Big Hit Entertainment also announced that pre-order for Map of the Soul: 7 will begin on Jan. 9.

Meanwhile, the upcoming album will be the second part of the Map of the Soul series and continuation of BTS's last EP, Map of the Soul: Persona, which was released in April 2019. Persona and its lead track "Boy With Luv" won several awards across the award-giving bodies in South Korea and Asia.

In Nielsen Music's 2019 mid-year report, Map of the Soul: Persona also recorded the highest physical album sales in the US in the first half of 2019. The album sold 312,000 copies in the first half of 2019 in the US alone.
