Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is coming near, and some of the major details of the event are now revealed. However, reports emerged that there are security fears at Buckingham Palace, and a royal expert told why the reception has to happen in the garden.

In her appearance on New Idea's ROYALS podcast, royal expert Angela Mollard revealed the Princess of York's wedding wouldn't happen inside the palace due to security issues. It was also said to be a move to avoid the guests from stealing stuff from the mansion, Express noted.

"Of course in the marquee at Buckingham Palace, no one is allowed inside in case they steal anything," she explained. Earlier reports revealed that Queen Elizabeth II gave Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi permission to hold their reception in the palace. However, it would never happen inside the mansion itself but in a posh tent built in the garden.

Anyhow, as they would be on the outside, Mollard wanted to know about the toilet situation of the guests. It also usually rains in Britain, even though the wedding will happen in spring. "I was just thinking, do you have a port-a-loo when you have a royal wedding?" she asked. "It seems a bit crass, doesn't it?"

The royal commentator found the setting exciting but understood that they didn't want people going around the palace. Another fascinating situation in Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's wedding is the absence of carriage procession.

When Prince William and Kate Middleton got married in 2009, there was a carriage procession. This tradition was even followed by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank when they both tied the knots in 2018.

However, things would be different this time as Princess Beatrice wanted to have a more private affair. It's already known that the two would get married at St James's Chapel Royal on May 29, which would be followed by a reception at Buckingham Palace. However, Vogue noted that details about the wedding party are not yet revealed.

But, the couple's spokesperson confirmed to Daily Mail that the property tycoon's three-year-old son, Christopher, a.k.a. Wolfie, would be their best man. He would be the youngest participant in a royal wedding that would surely make history. Princess Eugenie is also expected to have a role in Princess Beatrice's wedding after she chose her sister as her maid of honor in her own wedding in 2018.
