A familiar face is coming back on NCIS: Los Angeles season 11, as it was confirmed that JAG star Catherine Bell is returning as Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie. The actress confirmed the news via her social media platform and many were delighted to see her coming back in the NCIS world.
In her recent Instagram post, Bell confirmed that she's returning in one of the episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles season 11. However, fans may need to wait for a little while, as she may not coming back anytime soon. The actress noted that her return will happen on the April 19 episode of the series.
The reason why Mac returns in NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 is because she needs the help of the team. She's going to ask Hetty's NCIS team for help on a complicated case. Mac asked the team to help her after two SEALs come forward and claimed their chief murdered an unarmed Taliban prisoner.
Meanwhile, Bell's Mac had a brief appearance in season 10 finale and season 11 premiere, alongside JAG co-star David James Elliot, who plays Harmon "Harm" Rabb Jr. Right now, however, there is no confirmation that Elliot's character is also returning this season.
Mac and Harm reunited in person; they hadn't seen each other for nine years after their breakup. When they reunited, Mac told Harm they never gave it a shot and never put their all because they were scared. It's apparent that their chapter is now closed, but many were still hoping they'd get back together.
According to CarterMatt, a romantic conclusion may happen down the road, so there's still hope for these two. The outlet noted there's a chance the series is coming back for another season, thus its possible Mac and Harm's storyline might be included again.
Meanwhile, aside from Bell, there is also another face coming back in NCIS: Los Angeles season 11. It has been confirmed that Bill Goldberg will be reprising his role as Lance Hamilton. In addition, Boxing champion Evander Holyfield is also set to appear as a guest star, playing the role of NCIS Special Agent Sutherland.
Goldberg and Holyfield will be appearing in episode 17, titled "Watch Over Me," which will air on Mar. 8. In this episode, an FBI agent was killed while trying to find the location of an undercover agent. So the NCIS team must find the missing agent before the criminals he's investigating do.
NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 drops its new episodes every Sunday night on CBS.
