The two-day tour Melania and Donald Trump had in India last week was deemed as a success. While it was not the President's first time in the country, the case for his wife was different. As revealed, it was the First Lady's first visit to the country and she "enjoyed" it.

India is known for its love for vegetarian cuisines. Aside from the taste of each dish, this is apparently part of their culture as eating meat is largely "frowned upon."

However, recent reports, especially publications from the Asian country revealed that the First Couple did not touch or eat any of the dishes prepared for them on the tour. Although there were no criticisms thrown at them, many seemingly raised their eyebrows upon learning the headlines.

According to India Today, Melania and Donald Trump had a 15-minute visit at Sabarmati Ashram on the way to the world's largest cricket stadium. In this visit, it was said that a "high tea menu" was served for them, including all of the visiting dignitaries, as they were all welcomed by India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

The menu was revealed to include the Gujarati delicacy, Khaman, the chef's "specials" broccoli and corn samosa, kaju katli, apple pie, and several variations of teas. There is a huge possibility that these items on the menu were arranged for all the "visiting dignitaries." But none of them eat or taste any of it, a source commented.

The visit was quick, though, as they shortly went back to the road to reach the cricket stadium in Motera on time. Upon arrival, Melania and Donald Trump were welcomed by 100,000 individuals for the Namaste, Trump event.

As per Newsweek, the high tea menu was prepared and served by chef Suresh Khanna. It was even noted that the chef, along with the staff, were all excited despite the limited time for preparation.

However, the "meat-loving" President and the dignitaries seemed to disregard the delicacies and treats prepared for them. It was even asserted that they likely did the same thing for the rest of their trip.

The same publication reported that the Indian Prime Minister hosted a formal banquet for Melania and Donald Trump inside the presidential palace. It was expected that all of the dishes and delicacies were all-vegetarian foods.

Although nothing much was revealed to the public concerning the foods that were prepared for Melania and Donald Trump for the rest of the tour, many were certain that the First Couple was not able to eat any meat during their two-day stay in India.
