Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wrapped their final official engagement as members of the royal family. As they bow down from their posts later this month, rumors about the couple continued and have reached a new height.
New rumors emerged that Meghan has a hidden daughter. Woman's Day released a cover that has a headline stating, "Meghan's Secret Daughter Revealed!" along with a photo of Markle embracing a young girl. However, its inside article claimed otherwise.
The tabloid cited a source as saying Markle almost adopted a child when she was married to ex-husband Trevor Engelson. It alleged that the Suits actress met the four-year-old girl from a foster home in LA when her mother, Doria Ragland, used to work as a social worker.
Meghan allegedly often visits the child with her mother as she was desperate to legally adopt the young girl. However, her plan fell apart when she landed a role in Suits and had to move to Canada for the filming of the TV series. Meghan also eventually broke up with Trevor.
The insider added that the child has already been adopted by another family but the Duchess of Sussex continued to stay in touch with her. The outlet also speculated that Meghan may have also visited the kid when she and Harry traveled to LA. This is how the Duke of Sussex allegedly found out about Meghan's secret and he can't forgive his wife for it.
"Harry was completely blindsided by the news and has told friends he feels Meghan has been lying to him. After all, they've been through together, this secret feels almost unforgivable," the source claimed.
The report appeared very phony. For starters, the cover photo of the tabloid implying Meghan was seen hugging her supposed secret daughter is not true. The picture was actually taken in New Zealand during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal tour in October 2018.
The kid's name is Catalina Rivera. She and her mother Mercedes were among the well-wishers during the couple's final walkabout at Rotorua's Government Gardens in New Zealand. The then-two-year-year Catalina crept through the railings and hugged Meghan.
In addition, the tabloid admitted that Meghan abandoned her plan to adopt because she landed a role on Suits which only means she doesn't have any "secret daughter." It also added that the former actress met the kid through her mother's social work about 10 years ago. This doesn't coincide with Dorian's work history as a social worker.
According to Gossip Cop, Meghan's mom didn't get into social work until 2015 when she passed her licensing exam in California. When Meghan's married Engelson in 2011, Dorian was still earning her masters from the University of Southern California. Meghan and Trevor split in 2013.
