For more than a month, talks surfaced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hung out with sports and Hollywood superstar Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez for a double date last February. Apparently, it happened when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in Miami for Prince Harry's talk with JP Morgan.
Sources told Entertainment Tonight that Prince Harry and Meghan spent quality time with Rodriguez and Lopez. The foursome reportedly talked about their kids and the major events of their lives.
Rumors also surfaced that Prince Harry and Meghan had dinner with Rodriguez and Lopez. Other sources, however, denied that this double date happened but the couples did meet and discuss hanging with each other again in a "less formal situation."
During Rodriguez's guest appearance on Jimmy Fallon's talk show on Monday, March 9, the sports superstar was asked to finally set the record clear about his alleged double date with Prince Harry and Meghan. However, Lopez's fiancé' refused to say anything else and joked to the talk show host that he signed an NDA agreement.
With that answer, Fallon was pretty convinced that the rumors are true. He teased Rodriguez to reveal even further but he kept implying the non-disclosure.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan are likely to appear in more summit talks similar to the JP Morgan event now that they will officially step back as senior royals. According to Cosmopolitan, the Duke of Sussex might do an interview serieswith Goldman Sachs and talk about the causes and advocacies such as mental health, the welfare of military veterans and their families, and sports.
By April, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be revealing their next steps as they start a new life as financially independent former royals. Their official website will also be updated with potentially a new name and endeavour.
Prince Harry and Meghan asked to step back from their royal duties amid concerning attacks on their life and work by the British tabloid press. The couple admitted that this has affected their mental health and happiness.
The Duke of Sussex, however, was told by Queen Elizabeth that he and Meghan can return to their former life as working royals anytime. Prince Harry is also still the sixth in line to the British throne, while his son Archie Harrison is still the seventh in line despite the changes in his royal roles. He is, after all, born into the royal family and nothing will change that fact.
