Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly at risk of coronavirus after she had close contact with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who came close to the infected health minister Nadine Dorries. The monarch is now 93 years old and said to be vulnerable to the disease. Hence, there are growing concerns about her health as she continues doing her royal duties, although following a protocol not to shake hands with anyone.

In the U.K., there are 373 confirmed cases of coronavirus, while the current death toll is six. One of the confirmed infected persons is health minister Nadine Dorries, who came close to Boris Johnson at Downing Street for International Women's Day. If the Minister for the Union and Leader of the Conservative Party shows any symptoms, he, too, will have to be tested, Express noted.

However, after the PM had close contact with the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health, he met Queen Elizabeth at the recent Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey. Former MEP for London Lance Forman voiced his concern on Twitter about Her Majesty, asking why she's not self-isolating, as she seems to be putting herself at risk by going to public events.

Other netizens followed suit and took their concerns on Twitter. One concern royal fan said the government should self-isolate now after they got around a confirmed coronavirus case for weeks, adding Boris Johnson even met Queen Elizabeth at the time.

Another one added that Her Royal Highness was one step away from Boris Johnson, who was also one step closer to Nadine Dorries. A different Twitter user then explained that Johnson didn't only come close with Queen Elizabeth but with other senior members of the royal family and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well.

To keep herself safe from the virus, Inside Nova reported that Queen Elizabeth refrains from shaking hands with people at official events. Although she continued to do her royal engagements in the U.K., she manages to avoid putting herself at risk by limiting the amount of physical contact she does with other members of the public.

During a meeting with Sri Lankan High Commissioner Saroja Sirisena and her husband, Dr. Sudath Talpahewa, she was seen standing a meter away from them. She also kept her hands close to her body and didn't shake hands. Queen Elizabeth, along with other members of the royal family, also avoided shaking hands with any guests or officials at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster. She was even seen wearing gloves throughout the ceremony.
