This Is Us season 4 episode 17 will be arriving next week on NBC, with the title "After the Fire." This episode will see Jack back in a major way. He will have a huge part of the episode, especially since Randall is reliving the day of the fire and reflecting some things from the past. It was revealed that he said something that caused Jack to leave the dog in the house.

The episode will revolve around Randall reflecting and wondering what his life may have been. Randall told Kevin that he wonders how their lives would be if Jack is still alive.
The promo of This Is Us season 4 episode 17 sees Jack comforting his family amid the fire. The clip also shows him toast during Randall and Beth's wedding. But, the most touching moment was when Jack accompanies Randall to meet his birth father, William. It seems like this episode will be an emotional one, as Randall reflects on the past and when Jack is still alive.
Right now, a lot of things are running through Randall's head and he needs to clear his mind, though that may not be easy for him. He's been dealing through a lot of things and having a hard time battling the demons inside his head, and he's also struggling with his emotions. In addition, the previous episode showed him and Kevin arguing about their mother, Rebecca.
Randall and Kevin weren't on good and talking terms, based on some of the flash-forward scenes. Now, the previous episode showed the reason for their long-awaited blowup. At first, Randall told Kevin and Kate that he found a potential treatment that could help with Rebecca's memory loss. But then, she has to stay nine months in St. Louis.
Randall wants to tell their mother right away, but Kevin told him to let Rebecca have fun at his premiere before they make her decide. Their night goes great, but Rebecca's forgetfulness kicked in, which leads to Randall deciding to go against Kevin's request and tell their mother about the clinical trial. Kevin noticed Randall telling Rebecca about it, so he rushed over and called his brother up.
Their mother, on the other hand, felt overwhelmed with everything and stepped out for some air, while the brothers took a major dig at each other. Rebecca's gone when they go out to find her, but they knew she's at The Met. Kevin and Randal were not fighting in front of their mother, but it's apparent that they hold grudges on each other.
