There's a new iPhone concept video that's giving fans a realistic rendition of what Apple's budget smartphone could look like. People are calling it iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9, and while we're not sure what the company decides to call it yet, it is expected to ship this year.

The video was created by the Hacker 34, who isn't new to this type of activity. Previously, the YouTube creator showcased his/her talents in another concept video featuring the iPhone 12.

Apple has always been tight-lipped when it comes to its upcoming gadgets, but it's been predicted repeatedly that a low-cost iPhone is to arrive in 2020. The rumor mill loves to call the budget phone iPhone SE 2 or the iPhone 9.

Meanwhile, Apple is hard on work with iOS 14 and is already readying new features for iMessage. According to reports, the iPhone's messaging app will soon have a mention system, which is already a popular feature in social media sites.

The iPhone 9 will likely arrive with iOS 14, but its physical features have been predicted to be similar to the iPhone 8, as what the concept video shows. If this happens, the iPhone SE 2 will have a single-lens camera, Touch ID in a Home button, and a 4.7-inch screen. It will also be wireless charging-capable.

As for the guts of the upcoming device, it's believed the iPhone 9 will have 3GB of RAM and powered by Apple's A13 chipset. Early predictions have also indicated it will sell for $400, making it way more affordable than the iPhone 8.

Apple's low-budget iPhone was scheduled for a March launch, but the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has halted the company's plans, with the execs deciding to postpone the event

Sources claim that Apple bosses were concerned about gathering hoards of people at its Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park. The County of Santa Clara in California has also banned gatherings of 1,000 people or more until April 1. The Cupertino company had no choice but to schedule the event at a later date.

The coronavirus has forced many venues around the world to shut down and there have been delays in production in many companies. The tech industry in its entirety is affected, and as of writing, Apple still has no word regarding a potential date for its launch event.

It's expected Apple will make announcements soon, so for now, stay tuned. Check out the concept video below.
