In his recent post via Instagram, executive producer and showrunner Ryan Murphy shared a preview image of American Horror Story season 10. The photo featured two hands that seem to be coming out of the ocean. The image also coincides with the cast announcement, wherein Murphy shared a clip to introduce the cast with an ocean background and creepy music.
According to CarterMatt, American Horror Story season 10 may feature a mermaid theme this time, considering that some of the details revealed always come with the ocean. If not mermaids, there's also a chance the new installment may feature water zombies or murderous seaside communities wherein humanoid ghosts haunt people.
Also, the previous installments often film near to the ocean, so it only makes sense that American Horror Story season 10 would deliver a seaside story now. There are a lot of things that could be explored here, especially since there are many creepy legends and myths around the ocean. But whatever the theme would be, many were still excited to see the new and returning faces in the new season.
It has been confirmed that Macaulay Culkin will be one of the newest addition of the FX series. Murphy introduced the cast of the new season through an Instagram video, where it featured the names of the cast in an iconic AHS font. Culkin is best known as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone franchise, and he's now the newest member of the anthology horror series.
As for who's returning, AHS veterans Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are both coming back this season. Paulson and Peters were not part of the previous installment, but their returns have been confirmed, with Paulson playing a central character. Adina Porter, Finn Wittrock, Billie Lourd, Kathy Bates, Lily Rabe, Leslie Grossman, and Angelica Ross are all coming back as well.
As of the moment, the official release date of American Horror Story season 10 was not yet announced, but the show often premieres in the fall. The good news is that the next installment wouldn't be the final one, as FX renewed the series additional three seasons. Therefore, viewers will be seeing the show airing on the network until season 13.
