It's hard to deny that Manchester United is on a roll and the club is now on win No. 11 consecutively, prompting pundits to predict that good things are happening for the Red Devils. If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will continue on the winning path, United will be in a good position to wrap up the season in Top 4.

That's according to former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson, saying he convinced Solskjaer's charge will finish ahead of Chelsea. The Blues are on the fourth spot of the Premier League but only three points separate them from United.

As United has pocketed five straight Premier League wins in the last 11 games, the bold forecast from Merson is a big possibility. The last time the club saw defeat was in January and it appears that with Bruno Fernandes, plus the anticipated return of Paul Pogba, defeat is far from the mind of the surging United.

"I think Manchester United are turning a corner, not a bend, but a major corner. I think Chelsea will do well to finish above United, with their fixtures," The Sport Review reported Merson as saying.

He added that unlike at the start of the term, United is playing an all new game at the moment and "they're starting to look like a team."

In the upcoming games, Solskjaer will be leading the club against foes that are at the bottom half of the Premier League table and only Tottenham, which United will face at the weekend, promises to be the toughest in the pack.

The prospect of facing clubs that United have conquered before gives Solskjaer's side the confidence to pick as many wins as possible as the season's campaign nears its end.

Meanwhile, another pundit is convinced that the standing of United domestically will only get better because of the rebuild that Solskjaer has been implementing and the impending decline of current league leaders, Liverpool and Manchester City.

According to Darren Fletcher, he sees the high-profile managers of the two English clubs leaving soon, perhaps a few years from now.

"I can't see Pep Guardiola still being at Manchester City in two or three years. Jurgen Klopp, too," Metro reported the former United midfielder as saying.

When that happens, the Red Devils will see a resurgence and not only because of the rival teams have been weakened but more so the club will start feeling the impact of the team rebuilding that was focused on hiring rising and young talents.

"We need to see Manchester United winning the league in the next two or three years down the line. That's being realistic. The bar has been raised in terms of what it takes to win the league," Fletcher said.

The last time the Red Devils lifted the Premier League silverware was in 2013, which the last year of Sir Alex Ferguson's reign at the Old Trafford.
