In case you missed it, the SEVENTEEN Weverse is now live despite all of the protests from fans who wanted to keep the boy group in their official fancafe. Nevertheless, it looks like Carats' fears over the members having a hard time with the new platform have been unfounded. S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino have been happily interacting with each other on their official Weverse. Not surprisingly, it didn't take long before things got chaotic.
The official SEVENTEEN Weverse went live on March 17 and the boy group immediately released a new video showing all 13 members with a message. The video is also S.Coups' first major appearance with his fellow idols since he returned from a four-month hiatus. Needless to say, fans were delighted to see the group as a whole all over again. It also didn't take long before each member began using their accounts to interact with each other as well as Carats.
Surprisingly, the first member who went live was Hoshi although the leader of the Performance Unit is known for having some trouble with technology. Kwon Soonyoung immediately welcomed fans into the group's official Weverse and was soon followed by fellow SEVENTEEN member Wonwoo. Things would soon get interesting as Woozi, S.Coups, and the other members became active on the platform.
Almost immediately, the SEVENTEEN members started teasing each other on Weverse. For instance, S.Coups pointed out that the last member to become active should buy the rest of them dinner. This turned out to be Jeonghan, who simply ignored the request as if nothing happened. Then things got hilarious when the idols realized they could change their nicknames on the platform.
Mingyu immediately changed his name into "Cool Kim" before settling for "Kim CEO". S.Coups would turn himself into "Wonwoo" while the real Wonwoo chose to become "Leader". Later, Choi Seungcheol decided to call himself "Kim CEO's bodyguard" while Seungkwan changed his name into his favorite show "Hi Bye Mama."
The name-changing continued with Hoshi calling himself "Tiger's Eyes", prompting Woozi to change his name into "Kwon Hoshi Horanghae stop" although the Vocal Team leader went back to his original nickname. Meanwhile, Jeonghan became "Joshuji", a reference to an ongoing inside joke involving Joshua that was recently mentioned in the latest episode of Going Seventeen 2020.
For now, it looks like the members of SEVENTEEN are clearly enjoying themselves on Weverse and have turned it into their own group chat. Needless to say, Carats are hoping that they will be happy with the new platform.
