Fans of SEVENTEEN are well aware of Hoshi's ongoing agenda to call himself a tiger. The leader of the Performance Team has decided that he should be considered a tiger during performances and even while interacting with Carats. Not surprisingly, the whole tiger agenda is something that his fellow SEVENTEEN members like to joke about. However, when Wonwoo tried to clown Kwon Soonyoung on the group's official fancafe, The8 hilariously stepped in to put Jeon Wonwoo in his place.
It all started when Hoshi posted a screenshot of a blue-eyed tiger on SEVENTEEN official fancafe before saying goodnight to the fans he was interacting with. It didn't take long before Wonwoo saw the post and decided to respond to Kwon Soonyoung's post. "Hoshi, you are not a tiger, you are a person," Jeon Wonwoo wrote in response to the tiger photo.
That's a hilarious response but Wonwoo isn't the first SEVENTEEN member to say it to Hoshi. After all, The8 famously told Kwon Soonyoung that he is a human (and not a tiger) on Seventeen Idol Room Ep 68 and the one-liner had their fellow members crying in laughter. Needless to say, Xu Minghao wasn't happy about Jeon Wonwoo stealing his line.
The8 quickly responded to Wonwoo's fancafe post informing his hyung that that was his ment. However, Xu Minghao was willing to negotiate. He pointed out that he would agree to let Jeon Wonwoo use the line for $4.
In case you were wondering about the price of the line, it's connected to the recent episode of Going Seventeen 2020 where Wonwoo and The8 ended up being partners and had to act out a scene from a famous drama. Jeon Wonwoo and Xu Minghao had to act out the infamous "4 dollars" scene and they did so quite convincingly. Needless to say, the iconic "4 dollars" line is now one of The8's own one-liners so it's no surprise that he wanted to use it again on Wonwoo.
For now, it's unlikely that Wonwoo and The8 will manage to convince Hoshi to let go of his tiger agenda. Nevertheless, it would be fun to see them continue to try and dissuade their fellow SEVENTEEN member.
SEVENTEEN is expected to embark on the Japan Dome Tour 2020 later in May. The idols will perform two dates each in Saitama, Tokyo, Fukuoka and Osaka.
