Cooking is not an easy task for most people. Although some are good at coming up with a hearty meal without too much thought, others struggle just to wield a knife to slice up some meat. Unfortunately, that's exactly what Seungkwan of SEVENTEEN had to deal with in the new episode of IF Seventeen where the members had to cook up a burger. Although Boo Seungkwan was injured while trying to cook for Joshua, his hyung actually had other concerns during the incident.
The latest installment of IF Seventeen is titled SEVENTEEN's The Battle of Burgers and it features Woozi, Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Vernon taking on a new challenge. The first episode confirmed that the four members would have to create a burger for fellow SEVENTEEN member Joshua that would make him reminisce about his childhood. To keep things interesting, the idols were given different ingredients to work with. Lee Jihoon was assigned beef, Kim Mingyu had to work with squid, Boo Seungkwan was supposed to make a shrimp burger while Hansol Vernon Chwe would have to create a chicken burger.
Not surprisingly, the challenge was a huge one on all the participants. Although Mingyu is known for being a great cook, he still had trouble trying to figure out how to make a squid burger. The challenge was even greater for Woozi, Seungkwan, and Vernon, who are not as confident with their cooking skills. Nevertheless, all the SEVENTEEN members wanted to make sure they could give Joshua a great burger.
Luckily, Joshua was eager to help his fellow SEVENTEEN members with their task. Although he was initially meant to be a judge and spectator of the cooking show, Hong Jisoo decided to step in and help his fellow idols. At one point, the vocalist offered some tips to Vernon, who was clearly confused on how to go about with his chicken burger. In addition to that, Joshua shared some of his preferences with the participants so they knew how to cook to his taste.
While everyone was having a hard time, Seungkwan was the one who struggled the most since he had to peel the shrimps first. It took him several minutes just to get the task done but his troubles weren't over once the shrimps had been peeled. When Boo Seungkwan picked up a knife to slice the shrimp, he also cut himself and cried out loud. Not surprisingly, Joshua was the first to notice the injury.
Joshua immediately asked if Seungkwan was bleeding. Boo Seungkwan was clearly touched that his hyung was checking on him although the injury wasn't that big. However, Hong Jisoo then revealed why he was concerned in the first place. "Don't drop it on food," he warned his dongsaeng.
It was a hilarious moment in IF Seventeen and fans can rest assured that Seungkwan's injury wasn't too bad. Hopefully, the burgers will be done in the next episode of SEVENTEEN The Battle of Burgers.
