Harry Kane is currently in the sidelines as he deals with a hamstring injury he suffered back in January. Like most athletes, he is one of the players who could benefit from the lull caused by the coronavirus issue. Being out of action, the 26-year-old has not been spared from transfer talk although most feel that these are nothing but fake news.

One person who feels that transfer talk involving Kane are false narratives is Tottenham legend Gary Lineker. Rumors are linking Kane to possibly moving to Juventus but the 59-year-old former footballer believes it lacks the facts to make these hearsays believable. He calls on rumor-mongers to throw in more "darts" for it to make a bit of sense via Twitter.

"The papers say loads of things about transfers. They haven’t got a clue. It’s all guesswork. Throw enough darts......," Lineker said.

Looking at his track record, Kane has little to no reason to leave Tottenham after this season. He is a product of the Tottenham academy system and has been loyal to the club that was gave him his big break. Being a prolific scorer, it is only natural to hear his name in transfer talks. But seeing something go down remains to be seen.

For now, the best Kane can do is nurse himself to 100 percent health and get back on the field. Like many other athletes forced into the sidelines, the hiatus could become a blessing for the English footballer. He was originally expected to return in April but may now be joining the world in waiting for the coronavirus issue to be contained. Like most, the answer to that remains unknown.

Kane will not be spared by pitches from other football clubs. Being a high profile player, it would not come as a surprise if someone offered him a ridiculous offer. Teams like Manchester United and Juventus are among the potential teams who could do that, something that could place Kane's loyalty to the test.

Until a contract offer comes his way, Lineker does have a point. Speculations cannot be avoided but believing them is entirely different. Once he is ready to play again, Kane will be a welcome addition to the Spurs who have found a way to get back in contention. Resumption of the season is left hanging and league officials are left to monitor how things turn out in the coming weeks. If no positive development arises, chances of seeing the league scrapped is a possibility.
