Christian Pulisic was in rehabilitation mode when Chelsea stopped playing due to the suspension of games in the Premier League, no thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. The American though shared an update on how far along he is on the journey to recovery and how he is coping while stuck at home in London.

The U.S. international has been out of action since the start of 2020 due to an adductor injury and has already missed eight Premier League games. Pulisic's most notable appearance with the Blues was in late last year, in which he figured in a winning game by Chelsea where he scored a hat-trick.

Pulisic had anticipated better games to follow but his opportunity to further shine was hampered by injury, thus forcing him out of action for weeks.

The game suspension also allowed the American more time to work on his recovery and bits of which he recently shared on Instagram. A clip showed Pulisic showing of a short routine of keepy-uppys in his home garden, which Football London said is "a sight that will delight Chelsea fans."

The IG post came with a short message from the Chelsea star, in which he wrote: "Stay home and stay safe my people! At least I have my ball."

The last time Chelsea boss Frank Lampard gave an update on Pulisic, he showed concern as the American reportedly suffered a setback on the effort to return to the pitch the soonest. It was believed that the short winter break would help to bring the winger back to form it did not turn out that way, Metro reported.

"We tried to get him out there last week, step it up a little bit, but we had to pull out of that," the team manager was reported as saying.

Meanwhile, Lampard reported that Callum Hudson-Odoi is doing quite following the confirmation that tested positive for COVID-19. Premier League officials announced on Thursday last week that the 19-year-old Blues player became patient zero of the competition, according to Bleacher Report.

Before him, Juventus confirmed that defender Daniele Rugani was infected by the deadly bug, and the report led to the suspension of Serie A matches. Soon after, the Premier League, La Liga, and other domestic competitions in Europe halted the playing of the games.

According to Lampard: "Hudson-Odoi has made great progress and almost feels his usual self, which is obviously the news we all want to hear."

In his own Twitter post, the player assured he is in good condition and thanked the supporters who extended words of encouragement.

"Thank you for all your good wishes, as I said in the video I'm feeling good and hope to see you all soon," Hudson-Odoi wrote.
