Prince William and Kate Middleton recently showed their support to Queen Elizabeth by sharing her message of encouragement on their Instagram account. Her Majesty talked about the Coronavirus pandemic that is currently threatening every citizen of the world and urged everyone to follow the necessary precautionary measures.
While scientists and medical professionals are trying to figure things out, they suggested that people should practice social distancing to stop the spreading of the deadly virus. They also said that the public should refrain from going out of their homes unless it’s very important and Queen Elizabeth touched on this point on her message.
"As Philip and I arrive at Windsor today, we know that many individuals and families across the United Kingdom, and around the world, are entering a period of great concern and uncertainty,” it read. “We are all being advised to change our normal routines and regular patterns of life for the greater good of the communities we live in and, in particular, to protect the most vulnerable within them.”
Her Majesty also said that everybody has a role to play during this trying time and not just the professionals. She noted that the public could provide a big help by following the given suggestions.
"At times such as these, I am reminded that our nation's history has been forged by people and communities coming together to work as one, concentrating our combined efforts with a focus on the common goal,” she continued. We are enormously thankful for the expertise and commitment of our scientists, medical practitioners, and emergency and public services; but now more than any time in our recent past, we all have a vitally important part to play as individuals - today and in the coming days, weeks and months. Many of us will need to find new ways of staying in touch with each other and making sure that loved ones are safe. I am certain we are up to that challenge. You can be assured that my family and I stand ready to play our part."
Meanwhile, Prince William is the second in the line of succession to the British throne and Kate Middleton is the future Queen consort. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had always been supportive of Queen Elizabeth and devoted to the Firm.
“William and Kate, the future King and Queen Consort know that the future ‘inner core’ of the royal family lies with them and with George and his siblings and their future families,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said. “What is encouraging for the monarchy, an institution which has a unique capacity for reinventing itself, are the qualities that both of them bring to their roles.”
