WARNING: This article may contain spoilers for Homeland season 8 episode 8. Read at your own risk.

Homeland season 8 episode 8 is coming later this week on Showtime, with the title Threnody(s). Carrie Mathison still finds herself stuck in the middle of issues and challenges, but things might be different for her in the next episode. She has to figure out how to deal with a situation and her only option now is to wait and figure out who are the people she could trust.

In Homeland season 8 episode 8, Carrie has decided to patiently wait to find out what's next for her. She will be taking a risk with this strategy, something that she's already been doing before. In this episode, we're going to see Carrie spending most of her time waiting rather than rushing the situation. Her pattern of behavior will be different this time, but her action always comes with a purpose.

Carrie already knows where Max is -- but she couldn't help him as of now. She's desperate to try and help Max, yet she recognized that it wouldn't be easy for her. She's in a situation where she wants to do everything to help him, though she may not able to do that on her own. Carrie has to buy her time; she needs to be patient with the situation and act accordingly to avoid huge consequences in the future.

Meanwhile, Saul is still doing whatever he can to make things happen on the ground level. Right now, he is trying to do what lies within his power just to save G'ulom's life. Saul fully recognized that G'ulom is in a perilous situation, and he also knows the implications of Haqqani being executed. The main question now is whether or not the new leader in Afghanistan would want to listen.

As for what else is coming in Homeland season 8 episode 8, Wellington discovered something surprising. Whatever he finds here could shake up some of the events this season or it could somehow define international conflicts. Since this would be the series' final run, there could be some unexpected happenings and some unanswered questions will finally be solved.

But although Homeland may not end Carrie and Saul getting everything they want, these two are still capable of finding ways to bring stability for the country moving forward. While they may not be the only line of defense, Carrie and Saul have the capability of helping many people -- especially if they have all the support around them.

Homeland season 8 episode 8 airs on Sunday night, Mar. 29, on Showtime.
