Bradley Cooper doesn't seem to have a shortage of friends a year after his hit movie, A Star Is Born. In fact, Cooper has been spending time with them in the past year which is contrary to a tabloid claim.

A year ago, Star claimed that Cooper was losing his friends because he was too "shallow" and self-absorbed after the success of his directorial movie with Lady Gaga. A source of the tabloid claimed some of Bradley's celebrity friends such as Jennifer Garner and Christian Bale had already turned their backs on the actor. Cooper's pals were allegedly "sick of their superficial friend."

"A lot of his longtime supporters have up and vanished, and he counted on them being a lot more vocal about the movie," the insider said.

Gossip Cop had dismissed the rumor at the time. Throughout 2019 to early this year, Cooper has been spotted with his friends on separate occasions.

The Silver Linings Playbook actor recently spent time with celebrity couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively while their kids were having a playdate. The couple was also rumored to be helping Bradley finding new love after his breakup with Irina Shayk last year.

Cooper and Shayk also maintained their good relationship. The two are currently co-parenting their two-year-old daughter Lea.

Earlier this year, Brad Pitt acknowledged Cooper as a friend who helped him get sober. In his acceptance speech for winning the Best Supporting Actor at the National Board of Review Awards, Pitt thanked Bradley for his help.

Back in November, the American Sniper actor was also spotted hanging out with his A Star Is Born co-star, Dave Chappelle. He also spent time with his celebrity friends like Jennifer Garner and Freddie Prinze Jr. last year.

Cooper may have less time with his friends lately as he is busy filming the upcoming Guillermo del Toro movie Nightmare Alley along with Cate Blanchett. The stars have been shooting in Buffalo, New York and in Toronto, Canada.

During his break from shooting, Bradley travels back to New York to spend time with his daughter. A few weeks ago, he was spotted grabbing a bite with Irina and their daughter in NYC.

Meanwhile, Cooper is also set to direct, star in, and produce the yet-to-be-titled Leonard Bernstein movie. The actor co-wrote the script with Oscar-winning Spotlight's scripwriter Josh Singer and will produce the movie with top-caliber filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg.
